“For God does speak, now one way, now another, though man may not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men as they slumber in their beds, he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, to turn man from wrong doing and keep him from pride, to preserve his soul from the pit, his life from perishing by the sword.” Job 33:14-18
Throughout the history of the Old Testament, God spoke to His people in dreams and visions. In fact, one third of the Bible is devoted to dreams and visions. The Hebrew people formed their lives around the way God spoke to them in their dreams.
Acts 2:16-21 says, “ but this is what is spoken of through Joel; And it shall be in the last days, God says, that I will pour forth of my Spirit upon all mankind; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; even upon my bondslaves, both men and women, I will in those last days pour forth of my Spirit and they shall prophesy. And I will grant wonders in the sky above, and signs on the earth beneath, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and glorious day of the Lord shall come. And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
God speaks to each one of us in a way we can understand, so it is important to know what He is saying in these times we live
We use the ancient Hebraic form of dream interpretation in our classes and invite you to visit our Facebook page at Lionsgate Christian Fellowship for information about current dates and times of the course in Understanding Dreams and Visions.
